Art Hawkins
Indian Nations Council Scout Executive/CEO
Art began his Scouting career in 1993 as a District Executive at the South Florida Council in Miami Lakes, Florida where he was promoted to Field Director. He then furthered his career to become a District Director in the Bay-Lakes Council in Appleton, Wisconsin. Art returned to the South Florida Council where he became the Director of Support Service until 2008, then was selected to serve as Scout Executive of the Evangeline Area Council in Lafayette, Louisiana. While in Lafayette, Art and his team conceptualized and developed the highly successful Louisiana Swamp Base.
Currently, Art Hawkins serves as Scout Executive of the Indian Nations Council, Inc. Scouting America in Tulsa, Oklahoma, since November 1, 2021.
Art is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow, who enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. His hobbies include traveling, hiking, barbequing, and watching his youngest daughter compete in volleyball.
Art and his wife Erica, have two daughters; Jade and Charlotte.
